Range: MEXICO: Guanajuato, Jalisco, México (State of), México City, D.F., Michoacan, Oaxaca, Puebla, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, also in Guatemala and Honduras.

Type Locality: Oaxaca

Taxonomy: Orig. Comb: Eupyra principalis Walker [1865]

Note: Druce (1884) reported that the only specimen known to him was the type in the British Museum.
