Range: Eastern North America, to east Texas.
Habitat: Bottomland hardwood forests (Warriner et al, 2004)
Larval Hosts: Larvae feed in bracket fungi (Ganoderma spp.) - Warriner et al, 2004
Similar Species: Two species of Megalodacne occur in the eastern United States, both reach Texas.
