Range: Wide spread in the United States (including Alaska) and Canada (Riley et al. 2003).

Hosts: This species feeds on Willows, Salix spp., Salicaceae (Clark et al. 2004).

Adult Activity: April 17 to June 20 in Alabama based on 10 specimens (Balsbaugh & Hays 1972).

Similar Species:

This genus of showy beetles contains more than 80 currently recognized species native to North and South America, with 38 species occurring north of Mexico (Arnett et al. 2002).
