Range: Eastern North America (Riley et al. 2003)
Adult Activity: June through August in Ohio (Hughes 1940)
Hosts: Polyphagous, reported from 11 plant families (Clark et al. 2004), but of no great economic importance (Edwards 1949).
ID Note: Chrysomelids with long, slender antennae belong to Cryptocephalinae, however, not all Cryptocephalinae have such antennae (Edwards 1949).
Similar Species:
There are eight species and many varieties north of Mexico occurring in the eastern half of the US and adjacent Canada (Arnett et al. 2002, Riley et al. 2003).
